Tangible Bits & Byte is a programme in which we attempt to bridge the gap between cyberspace and the physical environment by making digital information (bits) tangible. Students will be engaged in activities that infuse information technology coupled with engineering and design concepts in order to bring digital forms into graspable physical objects and artifacts e.g. models, structures and toys.

This course is structured with many practical activities for the students to be exposed to problem solving techniques, innovative thinking skills and teamwork. Students will learn and apply mathematics and science concepts through the process of conceptualizing to design and finally making their own ingenious products which can demonstrate scientific concepts like energy conversions, simple machines and applied physics.

Students will be able to understand and grasp these concepts better as they learn through hands-on experimentation and exploration which further enhance the knowledge on the topics that they are learning. This integrated product creation course will create an impact for both students and teachers as this new way of learning will incredibly increase the effectiveness and efficiency of knowledge acquisition and retention.
